Anyone who might happen to come across Theatreworx rehearsing for Suessical might wonder what on earth they had walked in on. We have grown men and women pretending to be Cats, Elephants, Monkeys, Birds, Fish, not to mention Kangaroos! I'm surprised we haven't been sent to the Asylum for the Criminally Insane along with Horton the Elephant!

But hey, after being 'freaks' in Theatreworx's last production you'd think 'animals' would be a breeze... don't believe it! The cast and crew (not to mention the production team) are working hard to make the show a fantastic one that the audiences, and everyone involved, will enjoy. However, along with the hard work everyone is having a great time so fingers crossed for a fabulous week next week.

Seussical is our third Theatreworx production, when we started we wanted to produce new musicals which would challenge our cast and our audiences. I must admit we have failed a bit on challenging our audience with this production as Seussical is just a lovely, fun loving, colourful and enjoyable production which will be loved by children and adults alike. Just one look at the amazing set that Les Mountford has produced will sure to transport the audience into the world of Dr. Seuss.

If the audience enjoy the show as much as the cast are enjoying themselves then we will sure to have a big hit. All credit to John Cousins for creating wonderful costumes and to Gerri for her excellent direction and my co-choreographer Stewart for his ideas and dance moves.

Seussical has just been named as the third most produced show in America with 650 productions in 2005. Another 200 are planned already for 2006. In the UK we are one of three productions, I am sure we won't be the last.

Show time has finally arrived!

Following twelve weeks in rehearsal my job as Director for "Seussical - the Musical" is over and I must hand over to the very talented cast and crew of this fun, bright and energetic production.

Once you have purchased your ticket I challenge you to sit back, open your mind and tap into your imagination as Theatreworx lead you into the world of SEUSS!!

If you are looking to be entertained - you will not be disappointed.
